December Activities

It was a busy and fun filled December for the Learning Village School and its families. We started with the Holiday Dinner for Extended Day families at the beginning of December. Much of the food was prepared by the students in their classrooms. It was successful event more than fifty families joined the fun night.

The fun continued the following week with the Preschool Holiday Concerts. What a wonderful way to start the Holiday Season.

Our school contributed this to Backpack Buddies Charity Food Drive this Holiday Season Once food was collected, several classes took a field trip to see how the charity operates. Backpack Buddies was thrilled to receive all our contributions. What a fun and exciting event to teach our children about the importance of giving.

This was the second year for our Ladybug class (Pre-K) attending Dulles Airport for their Annual Christmas Tree decorating event. This year’s theme was the Alphabet and our school had the letter “H”. The children had an opportunity with the help of Ms. Cami and Ms. Marge to make helicopters, horses and other fun ornaments that start with the Letter “H” and take it with them to the airport.

It was a busy year for the school and its students we are looking for to have a wonderful New Year at LVS.
